AN.IV.45 Pa.thama Rohitassa Sutta The Buddha is asked by the angel Rohitassa whether it is possible by traveling, to know or see or reach a far end of the cosmos where one does not take birth, age, die, pass away or reappear?"
The Buddha replies that such and end of the world cannot be known, seen or reached.
Rohitassa says that the Buddha's answer confirms his suspicion because in a former birth as a hermit with psychical powers, he had journeyed for 100 years but failed to reach the end of the world.
The Buddha says that if you require to know: 1. the nature of the world; 2. the origin of the world; 3. the cessation of the world, and; 4. the path leading to the cessation of the world -- you can find the answers here inside this fathom-long body.
