AN.IV.175 Upavaana Sutta asks whether it is possible to reach an end of suffering by:
1. knowledge [vijjaa];
2. conduct [];
3. knowledge and conduct, and;
4. other reasons.
Saariputta replies that it is none of these four because all these four are forms of attachment. Those who are to attain an end of suffering must have conduct [] and seeing things according to their reality [yathaabhuuta ~naa.nadassana].
