AN.IV.21 Pa.thama Uruvela Sutta The Buddha reminisces about the time shortly after his enlightenment when he was anxious that having become enlightened and supreme in the world he would have no-one left for him to pay respect to (respect being the foundation of self-discipline [siila]; concentration [samaadhi] and wisdom [pa~n~naa] -- and that consequently he may fall into suffering.
