AN.VII.54 | Siiha Sutta | The Buddha enumerates to Siiha the visible results of being generous rather than stingy in nature: 1. compassion of the recipients; 2. being first to be visited by the recipients; 3. being first to be allowed to give alms by the recipients; 4. being first to be taught Dhamma by the recipients; 5. having one's good reputation spread about; 6. being able to walk with confidence into any company or walk of society, and; 7. arising in heaven after death.
