AN.IV.147 Dutiya Kaala Sutta There are four things to be practised at the appropriate time:
1. regularly listening to Dhamma talks;
2. regularly discussing the Dhamma;
3. regularly calming the mind;
4. regularly cultivating wisdom.
Cultivation of these four practices will lead to sequential uprooting of all defilments. Just as rain leads to steams, streams lead to rivers and rivers fill the ocean.
