2. Those who are like a softwood tree surrounded by hardwoods (one who doesn't keep the Precepts who is surrounded by those who keep the Precepts);
3. Those who are like a hardwood surrounded by softwoods (one who keeps the Precepts but who is surrounded by those who don't keep the Precepts), and;
4. Those who are like hardwoods surrounded by hardwoods (those who keep the Precepts and who are surrounded by those who keep the Precepts).
