This sutta obtained for Kotthita the pre-eminence amongst those possessing the patisambhida. Saariputta also enumerates the two conditions for the arising of Right View (sammaadi.t.thipaccaya): 1. being taught by others (paratoghosa), and; 2. being a teacher to oneself (yonisomanasikaara) at M.i.294.
Also distinguished are the three spheres (bhava) of existence: 1. the sensual sphere (kaamabhava); 2. the Brahma world (ruupabhava), and; 3. the formless Brahma world (aruupabhava) at M.i.294.
