A.10_075 Migasaalaa Sutta Migasaalaa Upasikaa in conversation with Aananda claims that people of different qualities can have the same afterlife destination. The Buddha answers the question to Aananda that people may share some qualities and differ in others -- and have different afterlife destinations. Some qualities do not make a difference to afterlife destinations: 1. If a person keeps Precepts, doesn't understand release of mind, doesn't listen attentively, doesn't have deep learning, has wrong view and doesn't attain temorary release, after death they will attain decay, not excellence; 2. However, even if a person keeps Precepts, understands release of mind, listens attentively, has deep learning, has right view and attains temorary release, after death they will attain excellence, not decay; 3. If a person breaks Precepts, doesn't understand release of mind, doesn't listen attentively, doesn't have deep learning, has wrong view and doesn't attain temporary release, after death they will attain decay, not excellence; 4. However, even if a person breaks Precepts and doesn't understand release of mind, but listens attentively, has deep learning, has right view and attains temorary release, after death they will attain excellence, not decay; 5. If a person is prey to desire, doesn't understand release of mind, doesn't listen attentively, doesn't have deep learning, has wrong view and doesn't attain temporary release, after death they will attain decay, not excellence; 6. However, even if a person is prey to desire and doesn't understand release of mind, but listens attentively, has deep learning, has right view and attains temorary release, after death they will attain excellence, not decay; 7. If a person is prey to hatred, doesn't understand release of mind, doesn't listen attentively, doesn't have deep learning, has wrong view and doesn't attain temporary release, after death they will attain decay, not excellence; 8. However, even if a person is prey to hate and doesn't understand release of mind, but listens attentively, has deep learning, has right view and attains temorary release, after death they will attain excellence, not decay; 9. If a person is prey to distraction, doesn't understand release of mind, doesn't listen attentively, doesn't have deep learning, has wrong view and doesn't attain temporary release, after death they will attain decay, not excellence; 10. However, even if a person is prey to distraction and doesn't understand release of mind, but listens attentively, has deep learning, has right view and attains temorary release, after death they will attain excellence, not decay; 38/235 Dasaka Nipaata, Dutiya Pa.n.naasaka A"nguttara A.i.
