A.10_033 Ubbaaha Sutta Monks with the following ten qualities should be considered for pardon from an allegation: 1. monks who are self-disciplined, keep to the patimokkha, have conduct and appropriate placement, see danger even in the smallest things and who shows intention to follow all the rules of training; 2. has heard many teachings, memorizes teachings, collects memorized teachings, chants teachings by heart, has insight by view into the teachings in the beginning, the middle and the ending, announces the the purity of his brahma-faring both in spirit and in letter; 3. can memorize the patimokkha and discern and apply it; 4. is strict in self-discipline; 5. can arbitrate differences between two sides restoring them both to faith; 6. is capable of quietening the former allegations; 7. who is aware of the allegation; 8. who is aware of the cause of the allegation; 9. who is aware of what can cure such allegations; 10. knows the method by which to cure the allegations 38/131 Dasaka Nipaata, Pa.thama Pa.n.naasaka A"nguttara A.i.
