A.10_022 Adhimutti Sutta The Tathaagata will be courageous in cultivating any virtue which is for a path of higher liberation (adhivimuttipada) by seeking out the abiding place of these virtues and knowing: the existence of existant virtues, the non-existence of non-existent virtues, the badness of bad virtues, the subtlety of subtle virtues, knowing non-utmost virtues as non-utmost, knowing utmost virtues as utmost, to know, see and gain insight into the virtues appropriate to know, see and gain insight into. Of all these virtues, the Tathaagata sees none which excel seeing things according to their reality (yathabhuuta~naa.na). The Tathaagata has ten virtues which are his lion's roar: 1. knowing criteria (.thaana) and lack of criteria (a.thaana); 2. knows the results of various practices in past, future and present; 3. knows the benefit-bringing mechanisms (pa.tipada); 4. knows the world by its elements; 5. knows beings according to their dispositions; 6. knows the strength and weakness of beings' faculties (their disposition for enlightenment); 7. knows impurity, radiance, exit from absorptions, liberation, concentration and attainment; 8. knows the recollection of His previous lifetimes and their details; 9. knowing the arising and falling of beings in the cycle of existence, and; 10. knowledge of the end of enlightenment. 38/070 Dasaka Nipaata, Pa.thama Pa.n.naasaka A"nguttara A.i.
