AN.VII.37b Dutiya Sambhidaa Sutta Monks who study, reflect upon, memorize and penetrate through wisdom the following seven qualities will manage to attain the four *** [pa.tisambidaa]: 1. awareness of sleepiness of mind; 2. awareness of dispair of mind; 3. absent-mindedness - distraction outside himself; 4. arising, persisting and falling away of feelings [vedanaa] in the mind; 5. arising, persisting and falling away of cognized thoughts [sa~n~naa] in the mind; 6. arising, persisting and falling away of preoccupation [vitaka] in the mind, and; 7. to know the meditational object as being comfortable or not, coarse or subtle, black or white or as a reflex [pa.tibhaaga] image. 37/097 Sattaka Nipaata, Pa.thamapa.n.naasaka A"nguttara A.iv.
