|AN.IV.158||Parihaani Sutta||The following four reasons cause the falling away from goodness of a monk or nun: 1. abundance of grasping; |
2. abundance of anger;
3. abundance of ignorance, and; 4. lack of the eye of wisdom [pa~n~naacakku] to penetrate the real reasons for things. However, a monk or nun not suffering from these traits will not fall away from goodness.
