AN.IV.88 Sa.myojana Sutta There are four levels of steadfastness in the virtue of a monk:
1. who rids himself of the first three fetters and becomes a stream enterer can be considered an unshakeable recluse; 
2. who destroy the first three fetters and reduce greed, hatred and delusion to become a once-returner can be considered a pu.n.darika (blue) lotus monk; 
3. who utterly destroy the lower five fetters can be considered a paduma (white) lotus monk, and; 
4. who is utterly free of all ten fetters attaining arahatship can be considered exquisite amongst the community of monks.
